A closer look at how public life gets organised.
Prime Public Dispatch

Editorial policy

Prime Public Dispatch aims to explain public processes clearly, carefully and without pretending that a general account answers every local question.

Accuracy and context

We check names of procedures, definitions and factual claims against suitable source material before publication. We make clear when an explanation is general, avoid presenting an example as a universal rule, and distinguish what a document says from what we infer from it.

Independence

Editorial decisions belong to the publication. A contributor or partner does not receive control over coverage in exchange for support, and we do not present promotional claims as independent editorial conclusions.

Corrections

If you spot an error, contact us through the Contact page and identify the relevant article and passage. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, making significant changes clear to readers.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner material is identified plainly wherever it appears; it is kept distinct from independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be AI-generated, and we label them where they appear so readers can distinguish them from documentary images.

Our view

Public work is easier to follow when its process is visible.

We look past the announcement to the sequence of forms, roles and decisions that gives public work its shape.
