A closer look at how public life gets organised.
Prime Public Dispatch

Write for us

Prime Public Dispatch welcomes pitches that make the everyday workings of public administration easier to understand, without turning a general explanation into advice about a specific authority or case.

What to pitch

We consider clear explainers about public processes, meeting practices, records, service routines and participation. A strong idea has a defined reader question, a narrow subject and a useful answer that can stand without invented examples or specialist credentials.

What makes a good proposal

Tell us the working title, the question the piece will answer, its proposed structure and why it belongs with this publication. Note the source material you expect to use and flag any limits, local variation or uncertainty. Keep the pitch focused and avoid sending a finished article unless requested.

Where to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page, choosing the editorial question option and including your pitch in the message. We cannot promise a response or publication, and submission does not guarantee acceptance.

Our view

Public work is easier to follow when its process is visible.

We look past the announcement to the sequence of forms, roles and decisions that gives public work its shape.
